A former Captain in the British Army, Paul Inman used to love a challenge. Yet he has suffered so badly with his mental health that he now struggles to leave the house.

Tasks which he used to complete without any stress often become insurmountable obstacles for Paul now. Competing in the Invictus Games is the only thing which makes him feel he is living a “normal” life.

“Meeting other competitors who have been through similar experiences is helpful and gives hope as I often feel that no-one around me can relate to how I feel. The Invictus family gives me the support I need and also provides my family with the support they need by introducing them to people who understand their situation too.”
