Pa Modou Njie

Pa served in the Army. An amputee, he lost both his legs (left leg below the knee and right leg above the knee) in Afghanistan after stepping on a roadside bomb. He was discharged in 2012. Pa will be competing at his first Invictus Games in sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby and athletics. Despite his life-changing injuries, he sees Invictus as a way of looking to the future: “It helps me to overcome my adversities and challenges.”
