Leave a gift in your will
Help us build a future where every veteran gets the support they deserve.
Write your Will for free this October from the comfort of your own home
We partner with online Will provider, MyIntent. It’s a simple, convenient service that allows you to make your Will at a time and pace that suits you. Every Will includes 30 minutes of free legal advice with one of MyIntent’s specialist partner solicitors.
Step 1 – Visit MyIntent and select the option to write your Will online.
Step 2 – Answer some straightforward questions about who you’d like to benefit from your estate, gifts you would like to leave and who will manage your estate. Some questions will require you to record a short video to verify your identity and confirm your wishes.
Step 3 - Complete and review your Will before it’s checked and finalised by a legal team. It will be sent to you to print and sign in front of witnesses.
Step 4 - Store your signed Will in a safe place and let your executor know where it can be found. You may also wish to review it from time to time.
There’s no obligation to leave a gift in your Will but we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to support our work. Once you've considered loved ones, we hope you’ll remember the incredible difference your legacy could make to veterans and their families.
A gift left in your Will, no matter the size, could help fund vital physical and mental health support, provide recovery programmes that rebuild confidence and independence, and help the next generation of veterans when they need it most.
Adrian served in the RAF for 25 years before suffering a catastrophic brain injury after a series of strokes. His wife, Elaine, a Royal Navy veteran, was left fighting alone until Help for Heroes stepped in.
Eighteen months after he was admitted to hospital, Elaine was desperate to bring her husband home, determined in her belief that with the right care Adrian could improve. Feeling despondent and not knowing where to turn, Elaine met one of our Clinical Advisors, Jane, at a local veterans’ breakfast club. Thanks to Jane’s support, Adrian began his rehabilitation journey with home adaptations, daily exercises and speech and language therapy.
Across the UK, veterans and their families are still fighting for the peace they deserve.
Adrian’s life isn’t over because he’s had a stroke – it's just going down a different path and Help for Heroes has been there to help him find his way.
