After a devastating accident led to the loss of his right arm and brought his military career to an unexpected end, he was faced with the difficult reality of rebuilding his life outside the Armed Forces. Losing not only his career, but also his sense of identity and direction, Dan struggled with the transition into civilian life and the uncertainty that came with it.
