Access our Welfare Support Hubs

WHO CAN USE THE SUPPORT HUBS?

The Support Hubs are available to veteran wounded, injured and sick personnel, their families and carers.

WHAT IS A SUPPORT HUB?

Our Support Hubs are free and confidential 'one stop welfare shops' available to access in person at our Recovery Centres or on the phone or by email.

 

They bring together a dedicated team of welfare specialists from a range of service charities and organisations to collectively offer advice and guidance on a multitude of issues such as money, health, housing and benefits. 

 

Each Support Hub can help with advice and guidance on the following issues:

Finance

  • Pensions (War Pension Scheme & AFCS
  • Benefits and grants
  • Budgeting and debt management

Health Support

  • Prosthetics advice
  • Psychological wellbeing
  • Hearing loss advice
  • Visual impairment advice
  • Clinical liaison service

Training, Education and Employment

  • Volunteering opportunities and work placements
  • Vocational assessments
  • Employment search and support
  • CV writing and interview skills
  • Transition support
  • Learning and Personal Development support

Family Support

  • Band of Sisters (support, fellowship, gifts etc. for the loved ones of the wounded, injured and sick)
  • Respite and holidays
  • Hospital support (including hospital visits)
  • A dedicated family support member

Housing

  • Housing options & Benefit advice
  • Assistance with home adaptations
  • House purchasing advice

Other Support

  • Band of Brothers (incl. excursions, holidays, gifts etc. for the wounded, injured and sick)
  • Health and fitness support
  • Transition programmes for personnel leaving the Armed Forces

HOW CAN I ACCESS THE SUPPORT HUB?

To access welfare support as a day visitor, or to stay at one of our Recovery Centres for in-depth welfare support (for between 1 and 3 weeks), contact the Support Hub at your nearest Recovery Centre.
