Well, that is the darkest and longest month of the year out of the way-woo, and indeed hoo!
And never the less we had some great stuff going on with curry get together; s in Willenhall and Warwick, and a traditional fat boy breakfast in Derby. Thank you for all those who came along and to those who emailed to say they enjoyed the free ticket offer for Thriller in Nottingham, and the Hippodrome panto in Birmingham.
Looking forward to fabulous February darlings! We have a bike day in Wolverhampton on 22nd learning the basics of bike maintenance along with a ride on the canal paths around the area. Another food-based Family Lunch during half term on 19th in Cannock and a model making session in Birmingham with that date to be confirmed but either the 12th or 20th as we go to press. I am working on two other events for the month but awaiting confirmation so keep an eye on your Dotmailers!
I hope you all saw the news for BoB regarding access to the Battleback Centre for veteran WIS courses, taking place at Lilleshall. If you are interested let me know….
Lastly, we are working hard on events for the Easter break as we know that can be a testing time with the kids off school for what feels like forever. As always if you have ideas or suggestions let me know and I will see what we can do. Also in March, we hope to see loads of you at H4H Live taking place at the NEC on Saturday 17th March-it is going to be huge!
Best wishes,
Alan
Hi Everyone,
January started with a trip to visit The Mayor of Colchester, who very kindly chose Chavasse VC House as one of his named Charities for his year in Office. It was a very interesting morning for Beneficiaries and myself, we learnt a lot about the history of Colchester, and also got to try on the Mayoral Chains.
We have also been back out into the woods with Essex Wildlife Trust making some more Hazel Hurdles for the garden here at Chavasse.
I’ve also been to Northampton for lunch and met some very new Beneficiaries and some more familiar faces. Lovely spot for lunch and a very enjoyable day.
At the end of January, we are off to The Blue Owl in Essex, for some relaxing Ceramic Painting.
