Every member of the Armed Forces chooses a life of service – one that involves sacrifice, courage, and resilience.

What is Armed Forces Day?

Armed Forces Week (23 - 29 June), culminating in Armed Forces Day on 28 June is our chance to come together as a nation and say thank you. To every individual who serves or has served – from today’s troops to veterans of all generations and backgrounds – we are deeply grateful for all they’ve done to protect our way of life.

It’s a moment to recognise the strength and dedication of the Royal Navy, British Army and RAF, and to celebrate everything they do to keep us safe.

Over 168,000 full-time Personnel and Reservists serve in our UK Armed Forces

We are incredibly fortunate to be supported by such committed and selfless people. That’s why Armed Forces Week matters – it’s a time to show our appreciation.

That includes serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadets, and the families who are beside them every step of the way.

By standing with Help for Heroes, you're helping us provide vital physical and mental health support that veterans and their loved ones need to find the peace they deserve – today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

So how will you show your support? You might be planning to join a local event, hang out the bunting, or simply share your support on your socials using our ready prepared images. Here are some ideas to get you started!
