Supporting our Armed Forces community with the nation's favourite fish and chips.

Deep Blue Restaurants, parent company to fish and chip brands Deep Blue and Harry Ramsden's, joined forces with us in 2021 with the aim of raising £50,000 for veterans and their families.

Did you know that fish and chips and the British Armed Forces have a history going back to World War II? During the war, fish and chips was one of the few meals not to be rationed; British ministers thought because the dish was an integral part of the nation’s culture, rationing would affect morale. During the D-Day landings, our soldiers even identified each other by calling ‘fish’ and waiting to hear ‘chips’.

Last year, we celebrated our partnership with a trip to the seaside. Take a look at what we got up to.

After such a turbulent year for the hospitality industry and the world at large, we are proud to be in a position to begin this partnership with Help for Heroes, supporting the incredible work they do to assist those who have served our country."
