The passion and capability of everyone in Help for Heroes is what we count on to make the real difference.

We are a small organisation spread across the country, and we are proud to attract talented people from all walks of life into an environment that inspires and enables personal growth and development, with a morally-responsible approach to pay and reward.

Since bursting into the charity sector in 2007, we have always fostered a culture that promotes diversity in the workplace, and strongly believe that a truly equal environment leads to greater fulfilment for our staff, supporters and the Armed Forces community.

The Gender Pay Balance

In 2024, women made up 73% of employees and 65% of the highest-paid roles, and they represented 78% of roles in the lower pay bands. This distribution influences the gender pay gap, which reflects differences in average earnings between men and women across the whole workforce.

Creating an inclusive workplace

We aim to build a supportive, flexible environment where everyone is valued and has a sense of belonging.

Diversity and Inclusion Forum

We have a Diversity and Inclusion forum, formed by some of our team, who have volunteered to help drive our inclusion strategy forward. Our goal is to create a working environment where employees can find personal fulfilment and enjoyment.

Huddles

We have an array of huddles within the charity, which are led by some of our team. These groups foster mutual support and deeper understanding around various topics. Some of our huddles include menopause, working families, neurodiversity and military life.
