From a family-run butcher's shop in Aldershot to over £300,000 raised for our veterans.
Inspired by his grandad’s service, Paul Turner reached out with a simple question: “How can we help?.
That simple question led to an incredible 15 year journey to support our veterans. Today, Paul and the Alf Turner team have raised over £300,000 for Help for Heroes.
The story starts with Alf Turner, an Army veteran who served for 20 years in the Royal Army Service Corps. After leaving the Armed Forces, Alf opened a butcher's shop in Aldershot, the home of the British Army.
Carrying on his grandfather's legacy, Paul and his brother Kevin still use his grandfather's house as his butchers shop. The office was his grandmother's kitchen.
Because of Alf being an Army veteran, for Paul it was a natural decision to support our cause.
Since 2010, their journey has included award-winning sausages, Dragon’s Eggs that flew off the shelves (and even into space) and fiery favourites like Dragon’s Fury snacks.
Since then, Paul and the Alf Turner team have shown unwavering support for our cause. Their long-standing commitment over the years is truly remarkable and continues to make a powerful impact on the lives of our veterans and their families.
Thanks to generous donations from every Alf Turner product sold, they've reached an incredible milestone - over £300,000 raised!
Being Paul's account manager, I’ve seen firsthand how committed he is, not just to his business but to making a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families. Raising an incredible £303,000 isn't just a number, it shows how much he genuinely cares."
