Stuart Robinson, a former corporal in the Royal Air Force, will compete with the Wheelchair Rugby team in Toronto. Amputee Stuart is an Invictus Games veteran and finds the continuation of the bond he has experienced between fellow servicemen and women vital in his recovery. His experience competing at the Invictus Games in 2014 and 2016 has given him the skills and determination required to earn a place on the GB Wheelchair Rugby squad. Stuart explained: “Having the benefit of being able to continue the camaraderie and close knit community, albeit on a much larger platform and with the ability to perform now in a sporting environment, is a massive part of my ongoing recovery and rehabilitation. Sport gives me an ongoing commitment and purpose in life.”
