Army Veteran Seveci has a mild traumatic brain injury causing memory loss and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, headaches, tinnitus and hearing loss in his right ear. He also has nerve damage to his lower back and a damaged left hip, meaning he cannot sit for long periods. Seveci was part of the 2014 and 2016 Invictus Games, and this year will be competing in sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby and athletics (shot put and discus). He says sport motivates him in life and helps him to keep progressing day in day out: “Invictus brings me back to serving my Queen and country again. It means a lot to me on my recovery because it helps me to keep on going. It inspires Servicemen and Veterans and shows that there is life after injury.”
