Veteran Richard Pullen was discharged from his role as an Army craftsman in 1989. The 51-year-old from Manchester has come to terms with his injuries, and is looking forward to helping others get to where he is today. “For me, being part of the Invictus programme is about giving back to the men and women who have given so much for their country. It is now almost 30 years since my injury was first sustained. I have learned to live with and manage my disability. But now I have the opportunity to help and support those people who may still be coming to terms with the nature of their injuries by passing on my own experiences to the team.”
