A former Corporal in the Army, Josh was blown up two months into his third tour of Afghanistan after stepping on an IED in December 2010. Josh’s injuries meant that both legs were amputated above the knee along with his right arm below the elbow. Josh was part of the British Armed Forces team in the inaugural Invictus Games where he won a bronze medal in cycling. He is determined to better himself this year and says he loved being part of the team in 2014 and being “around guys you have been injured with, grown close to and helped each other along the way is what recovery is all about.” Josh has competed in UK and European hand cycling races over the last 18 months and says it has become “his life” and it “gives me something to get up and do in the morning to keep myself fit and active”.
