Former Royal Marines Corporal Ian ‘Roni’ Ronald suffered a traumatic brain injury which, nine years later, still impacts on his life. Since leaving service he has fought to regain his independence but is keen to experience the camaraderie that he left behind. He will join the UK Team to compete in indoor rowing. Ian said: “The more I do the more independent I become. Since becoming a veteran I have become quite isolated from my military background and the return to a military environment will revive my motivation to continuing pushing the boundaries and making headway in everything that I do, primarily for my everyday living and mobility but also for the opportunities available to me in a professional capacity.”
