Cowan Botha

Categories: Invictus Games 2016 Athletes

A former Lance Corporal in the Army, Cowan has had multiple operations on right hip to help reconstruct the right side of his pelvis injured during service. He currently lives with limited mobility and range of movement. Cowan picked up a medal for rowing in the inaugural Invictus Games and he said it changes the way he approached his injury. Competing again for the county he served for, he said, is a major motivational factor to compete with the best injured service personnel out there. He’s looking forward to the challenge again this year.
