Former Rifleman Chris, who lost his left leg below the knee, believes participating in the Invictus Games would dramatically improve his self-esteem and confidence. He suffers from phantom limb pain and isolated muscle fatigue. Additionally, the reconstruction of his left hand resulted in the loss of two fingers and limited grip strength. “This upcoming journey of personal ability overcoming disability, achievement-driven focus and international camaraderie would dramatically improve my confidence in my abilities as a team player; laying the foundations for a brighter and better structured civilian life.”
