Callum serves with The Kings Royal Hussain in the Army. He was diagnosed with a musculoskeletal injury in 2010 and has undergone endless operations, with further surgery to come. Callum also has a damaged spine from an accident at work. Selected for archery and athletics (shot put) at this year’s Games, Callum says being able to compete and bring some pride and normality back in his life will be invaluable to his recovery: “I want to be able to feel like I'm part of a team. Not being able to compete in sports anymore due to my injury was huge for me. Just getting that back in my life would be amazing. Having to be in and out of hospital and having surgery every year for the past seven years is horrible. I just want to feel like me again.”
