James Rose

Veteran James Rose was discharged from the Army in 2014. “Being part of the UK Invictus team has massive benefits on myself, both on my mental health and overall as a person. Sport has given me a purpose again, given me meaning and sense of pride - it means a hell of a lot to me. Sport means I can get out the house and get active again and do something I love which along the way is going to help me become the best version of me!” 30-year old James, from Middlesbrough has already benefitted from being part of Invictus, and loves being back in a team again. “I needed to find my mojo again - the competitiveness and camaraderie you get by being back with the people you trusted with your life is so good. During the first Invictus Games I was in hospital having operations. I’ve come so far. With Invictus I can get my life back together.”
