Bruce Ekman

Major Bruce Ekman joined the Army in 2004, and took part in the London 2014 Invictus Games.  “It was the greatest sporting event of my life.  I learnt so much and progressed so much.  I am still serving and used the opportunity to showcase how injured soldiers can thrive and achieve.” Bruce is looking forward to competing in Toronto, and hopes to represent the UK in athletics, swimming and rowing. He is training every day to make sure he’s at the highest level he can possibly be. “Being in the 2017 team is an honour and a privilege. I have benefited greatly from the amazing coaches at the Invictus Games athletics and swimming training camps.” Until the Games begin, it’s business as usual for Bruce: “I will continue to train. I will also continue to build on the great lessons that I have learnt from the fantastic athletics and swimming coaches.”
