6 Weeks to go...
The Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally 2015, 'The Final Mission', is edging ever closer, and the organisers and all the teams involved are full steam ahead with fundraising, and preparing for their amazing European adventure.
Keith Bowen, joined by co-organiser and son Tim Price-Bowen, set out in 2010 to take 20 teams on a non-speed historic battlefield tour of Europe while raising £20,000 for Help for Heores. However, 5 years later, and with the sixth rally nearly upon them, they have raised a staggering £930,000 - and have their sights firmly set on reaching a mind-blowing £1million. Keith and Tim, along with 40 other teams will follow the path, and the story, of the World War 2 Allied Invasion of Europe, and incorporate areas of the Western Front of World War 1, as they traverse the highways and byways of 7 European countries.
The Father and Son duo have just completed their final two week recce of Europe, following their entire 2000 mile route from Littlecote House in Berkshire to Hitler's 'impenetrable' Eagles Nest in Bavaria. During the recce they found themselves caught up in many amazing adventures; all will be part of the journey and be a surprise to the 2015 Rally crews! Meanwhile, scattered across the UK every team is putting their all into fundraising towards that astounding £1million target using a variety of methods. Ranging from bucket collection to music events, book sales, dinner dances, and much more in-between, all 40 teams share common aim and are doing an unbelievable job supporting Help for Heroes.
