Residents of Tedworth House were recently treated to a visit from presenter of The Gadget Show and Splash contestant, Pollyanna Woodward, who stopped by to find out more about Help for Heroes and the people that make us so special.
After meeting with centre manager Giles Woodhouse for a coffee and a chat about what H4H is all about, Pollyanna was given a tour of the Recovery Centre and was able to meet some of the lovely residents who are currently staying at Tedworth House.
She even had the privilege of checking out the BA lounge and having a go on some of the excellent gym equipment available at the Phoenix Centre, before taking a trip over to the Tin Hut to meet some of our wonderful volunteers.
Pollyanna has been so inspired; she hopes to support H4H in many ways, including being a part of Hero Ride 2014.
Pollyanna said: “Help for Heroes is a real inspiration, to have seen first-hand the difference the charity makes to the lives of our heroes and their families makes me so proud to be a part of it. This is an incredible and caring support system for people that have dedicated their lives to protect ours.
“I look forward to helping H4H raise money especially through their brilliant events like Hero Ride taking place in June. The guys and girls H4H supports are true, brave examples of selflessness.”
