Alex's update: Northern Ireland
With the countdown to Christmas on, November saw some cosy indoor events take place.
In honour of Remembrance Sunday, we crafted some lovely handmade poppy brooches we can enjoy and wear with pride year after year.
We also had the first BoB/BoS cinema trip. We met for a coffee and a catch up before being an afternoon showing of ‘Thor’. It was a great group activity and will certainly be repeated in the coming months.
It has been a momentous month for the Fellowship Photography Group as we have purchased our own photography equipment which will be used in our own homemade studio in the new year. Another highlight was the photography outing to Glenariff Forest Park with its spectacular waterfalls, followed by a cup of hot chocolate in front of a log fire.
The photography group would like to invite you to their Christmas celebration on 7th December in Belfast. This will be a friendly and informal way to meet the photography group as they display what they have been up to since February 2017, and will hopefully inspire you to join them in the New Year. There will be plenty of mince pies on offer too.

Meet and Greets
In October there were Meet and Greets in the Military Museum Scotland, Dundee, Dunfermline, and Prestwick – a fantastic way to meet up with BoB/BoS to meet new friends and catch up! They are well attended and great way to have a chat and a laugh with other fellowship members. It is also a good opportunity to find out info, ask questions and get support.
‘Articles of War’ Exhibition – Lighthouse Gallery, Glasgow
BoB/BoS were invited to a private viewing of the art works where they heard a number of the artists talk about the inspiration for their work and how art helped them in their recovery process.
Christmas Crafts Day – The Linburn Centre, Wilkieston, Lothian
14 BoB/BoS had the opportunity to create something wonderful for their loved ones at Christmas during this brilliant Christmas Crafts Day.
