Moto bank holiday fundraising

The August bank holiday weekend saw over 50 Help for Heroes Volunteers - and 8 Hero Bears! - join forces with Moto staff and customers across the country to raise vital funds for our wounded, injured and sick.

Now in its 5th year, fifty-two Moto sites up and down the country hosted national collections for supporters and staff to come along and make a difference. As well as bucket collecting, a whole host of fundraising activities were on show, including static bike challenges, tombola’s and raffles which kept the pounds coming in.

Since Moto in the Community Trust, the charitable arm of Moto Hospitality, partnered with Help for Heroes back in 2012, those involved have shown extraordinary commitment to the cause. With a little help from our Volunteers, they’ve raised more than £1.5 million!

This year, in partnership with Moto in the Community, Help for Heroes also created an exciting Hero Kids activity pack to keep children busy and entertained while travelling over the summer holidays.

Speaking about the collections, Moto in the Community Chairman, Brian Larkin, said: “We are proud to be collecting for Help for Heroes. But we wouldn’t be able to collect so much on our sites without the efforts of our staff, Help for Heroes Volunteers and the generosity of our customers who have really taken Help for Heroes to their hearts.”

To each and every person who took part, a huge thank you. The money you’ve raised means together we can continue to be there for our Heroes on their road to recovery.
