Registration is now open for the Invictus Games Down Under in Sydney 2018.
Over the past week, 90 UK athletes, supported by Help for Heroes, have taken part in the international adaptive sporting competition in Toronto.
The team won 87 medals and smashed more than 170 personal bests. But the Games aren't about the medals or elite sport; it's about finding a purpose and direction for recovery, facilitated through sport.
The 2017 UK Team Captain Bernie Broad has encouraged more wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans to apply for the 2018 Games.
"Invictus lit a spark in my belly and at the end of the Games it has become a raging fire," he said.
"It has kickstarted a new phase in my recovery journey and one that will continue for a long time. I have a renewed purpose and it's brought back my determination and confidence. Invictus flicked a switch for me and the pride and passion encompasses you.
"What it has done for me it will do for many others. So apply for Sydney and potentially watch your life change on ways you couldn't imagine".Register interest for Invictus Games 2018
