South West | Shirley's update
Band of Sisters ladies had a fun day on Saturday 12th August at Naiz Nails salon when they enjoyed a spot of well-deserved chill out time and treatments including facials and manicures. Most importantly they had a good chat and a lot of laughs. A huge thank you to Naomi Parker (Band of Sister) and her colleague Gabby for providing the treatments and venue for free!
Please note I will be off on my annual holiday from Monday 18 until Monday 25 September.
What’s coming up in September:

Wales | Ruth's update
August is always a strange month with school holidays and annual leave. However, the team in Wales have been working hard continuing to network with various organisations and charities that can support our beneficiaries. We have also been trying to contact and engage with new beneficiaries. This has included going to forums, giving presentations at meetings and various shows around the Principality. These shows include the Vale of Glamorgan Show, Chepstow show and Armyfest.
We held a Welfare drop-in session in the VC Gallery in Haverfordwest.
We are very excited to welcome Paula Mitchell to our team. Paula is our Veterans’ Clinical Liaison and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is already proving to be a great asset to our team.
September sees the return of our BoB/BoS Coordinator Ruth, which we are all really pleased and excited about. We have sorely missed her the last few months. She is keen to organise some events in September.
Our Sports Recovery sessions are continuing in September and we have our regular coffee morning in Caerphilly Miners on 13 September. We are also linking up with Woody’s Lodge and holding a Help for Heroes information session at their premises on 7 September.
Finally, September will continue with presentations both internally and externally to showcase Help for Heroes in Wales.
