London and South East | Adrianna's update

May 25 saw me heading over to Dagenham in Essex to take a group of lucky BoBs to see Ford Heritage’s private collection! What a treat, I hope they welcome us back soon!

Sunday 28 June was a warm one for the nine of us who went Skiffing (rowing) in Surrey. We ended the morning with a hearty brunch, as always.

If you are interested in coming to this event, please let me know as it usually happens the last Sunday of each month.

On 1 June, it only seemed natural to go to an ice cream parlour and order a huge amount of calories, chat and banter! Thanks to everyone who came and made it as brilliant as it was!

Thank you to everyone who came to the office breakfast in London on Friday 9 June. What a lovely way to see in our weekends.

Coming up

  • Manzes Pie and Mash - 7 July
  • Bicester Heritage Tour - 13 July
  • Windsor Duck Tours - 27 July
  • Trampoline park - 28 July

Remember don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always at the end of an email.

South Central | Pip's update

On 2 June we had a lovely family day on the Lower Moor Farm nature reserve near Cirencester with 27 people attending and having fun. The weather was perfect, which is just as well as all the activities were outside! The various activities included woodturning on lathes that resulted in several very fine rolling pins being made, making a bow and arrows out of willow – very popular with the children. Boring pallets were transformed into amazing herb boxes for the window sill and, using a saw and router, chunks of wood were made into very fine trinket boxes.

The first weekend in June saw over 50 BoB and their families attend the Let's Rock music festival in Bristol. Saturday was an 80s music revival and on Sunday the 90s had their turn! A great family day out.

From a lovely thank you letter from some children that attended the festival: “Thank you for sending us the tickets – we enjoyed the concert it was fantastic, full of singing, dancing and riders”

Thursday 8 saw a group of BoS attend a hanging basket workshop in the lovely green house at Tedworth House. Everyone chose to make a basket full of edible vegetables and herbs and at the end of the morning there were some wonderful creations.

Last weekend we held our second respite weekend of the year. Everyone had a really good time and enjoyed a bit of special time for them. With some serious pampering, relaxing activities and little down time everyone went home having made new friends and feeling more relaxed then when they arrived.

To celebrate Carers Week we held a carers information afternoon at Tedworth House. Nine agencies and charities attended and had a busy time talking with BoB and BoS. The lovely Eve gave relaxing hand massages and there was plenty of tea and cake!

Please keep an eye on your emails for up and coming July events, and remember to register for the Summer Fete on 21 July.
