London and South East | Adrianna's update
The Soldiers of Oxfordshire was such a fab together on 1 May! From the moment we got there we were made to feel very welcome. Little did we know that they had closed the entire museum to make us feel at ease.
Soon after our feet passed the entrance we were plied with cake and tea (always a winner) and given a VIP tour of the museum by the Chairman of the museum himself! Thanks everyone who came for making the day what is was; a huge success!
Our Toby Carvery get together on Thursday 11 May was brilliant. It was great to see that a lot of you had met before, which turned in to a great catch up and welcoming some new faces to the area. Look out in your inbox for a similar offer in your area soon!
25 May saw us heading to Buckinghamshire for Chiltern Hills Vintage Car Rally and the weather was incredible! A great opportunity to catch up while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.
Skiffing is a brilliant event that takes place every last Sunday of the month. It is a day of relaxed rowing with a view of Hampton Court Palace, always rounded off with a strong brunch! It really is a great way to spend your Sunday morning. If you would like more information or would like to attend, please contact Adrianna on: Adrianna.email@example.com

South Central | Pip's update
On Thursday 11 May a group of 10 went fly fishing on the Avon near Netheravon. The weather couldn’t have been better and the fish were being very obliging! Everyone had a really good day and almost everyone caught one if not more fish. I think we now have some fishing converts keen to get back on the river!
“I would like you to pass on my heartfelt best wishes to all involved in the day. We all had a great day even if I wasn't fortunate to catch a trout to take home. The mentors did an outstanding job and I doubt they receive enough credit, but I hope an email goes a little way for them to know it more.”
On Monday 15 we went to the Thruxton Circuit where a large group of BoBs spent a fun couple of hours karting in the pouring rain. Whilst everyone got wet the driving was much more fun with some interesting driving positions achieved!
The Hero Polo match is here on Sunday 28 May – fingers crossed the weather stays dry. I know there will be a lot of people there to support the Para polo team and all the other taking teams taking part.
What’s happening next month?
On Thursday 15 June we will be celebrating Carers Week with an afternoon event at Tedworth House. We will have various charities and services joining us - all of whom offer support to carers and their families. This will be a great opportunity to get some advice and meet other local BoB and BoS in the area. More details to follow.
Please save the date of Friday 21 July – it's summer fete day. A proper save the date will be going out soon to you all.
There will also be a couple of regional get togethers but they are still in the planning stages.Back to Bandstand
