London and South East | Adrianna's update

The end of March steered us neatly into Manze's Pie and Mash shop… again! We thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company, and the pie, so much that it saw three of you stay out to have dinner together, too!

Due to Manze's popularity, we will be running this event every three months, so keep an eye out in your inbox! I know how tough it was for some of you to be there, so I just want to say how lovely it was to see you and I hope you attend another event soon.

Sadly we had a few people drop out last minute for our Nailing Mental Health event. It was a day to raise awareness and money for mental health charities and get a manicure in the process. We all agreed how great it felt to speak so openly in such an understanding environment.

On 6 April, a group of us went for a tour around Mercedes-Benz World! What a collection they have there. It was a great tour and, thanks to the amazing weather, we made our way outside to watch some impressive demonstrations.

The Easter Trail at Haslemere in Surrey was brilliant. Thirty of us headed down hoping to complete an Easter challenge and walk away with a chocolate egg… we did just that, while enjoying a great afternoon together complete with picnic! Thank you to those offering support to the new BoB and BoS we welcomed there that day.

What could be better than spending a day at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital, looking after injured hedgehogs? That’s exactly what 15 of us did on the 13 April. It was a lovely afternoon, and great to chat with you all over a much-needed cup of tea!

Remember don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always at the end of an email.

South Central | Pip's update

We had a wonderful respite weekend at Tedworth House with nine BoS. The weather was glorious, which added to the great feel of the weekend. The ladies had all been really nervous before they arrived but after a couple of days together forged a really strong friendship group and have already arranged another get together. One of the BoS said: “Thank you so much for the weekend. I can't put into words how special it was. I have made lifelong friends and felt truly supported and looked after.”

Saturday was spent indulging in beauty treatments, then Jonathon from Bound by Veterans came and taught us how to make our own beautiful notebooks.

The afternoon was spent making chocolates, and everyone had a delicious box to take home with them.

As the Easter holidays began, we had a family trip to Roche Court near Salisbury. The first couple of hours were spent exploring the sculpture and exhibits in the beautiful grounds.  After a picnic lunch in the sunshine we went to the “making laboratory” and created our own masterpieces. We definitely had some talented artists in our group! One of the BoB said: “Thank you for a great day at Roche Court, it was nice to spend some quality time with my son without work interrupting.”

On 13 April, 35 of us met at the Wiltshire wildlife nature reserve, Langford Lakes. Again, we were lucky with the weather and everyone was able to spend time both inside and out being creative. There was stone carving, puppet making, pot painting and clay modelling.

We even had the opportunity to make flavoured lip balm! Who knew it was so easy to make your own?

On the Tuesday after Easter we visited Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood. We spent a couple of hours having a stroll around the Forest with free-flying hawks following on and flying to our gloved hand. It was a fabulous experience enjoyed by all age groups. You should give it a go!

Next week, Aerobility are having a flying taster day at Blackbushe Airport for 20 BoB, and I'm looking forward to visiting BoB and BoS on the Isle of Wight.  If you need anything else from me, don't hesitate to contact me via email.
