Unite your office this summer with cake!

Wednesday 5 June 2019

What better way is there to bring your colleagues together than with a cup of tea and a slice or two of cake?

Unite your office with cake!

General Dynamics Land Systems-Force Protection Europe did just that last summer and raised an amazing £750 for wounded Veterans and their families at the same time. Staff at the company baked an impressive array of sweet treats – from sponges to fudge cakes and even a chocolate and beetroot creation!

“Getting everyone together was a great way of team building and finding out what talent lies within the business,” explains Rebecca Handforth, the staff member who organised the baking bonanza.

“Knowing that the money raised will go to such a worthwhile cause made everyone want to get involved. We employ a large number of ex-Veterans and wanted to raise money for a charity that has a personal meaning to many of our employees.

“Plus, it was really enjoyable and worth every minute of effort to see the wonderful displays of homemade and bought cakes for sale.”

Do something different to bring your office together by hosting a bake sale to celebrate June’s Armed Forces Day. Every penny you raise will help wounded Heroes and their families.
