Getting our veterans back on their feet

Tuesday 17 June 2014

More and more often we're blessed with new pieces of technology which aim to help our heroes get their lives back on track. This is Frenchie’s story…

While out on patrol in Iraq, Frenchie was shot in the spine leaving him paralysed from the waist down and was told that he would never walk again.

However, following absolute resilience and hard work supported by H4H, Frenchie got back on his feet. He is now trialling a newly designed orthotic which allows him to feel far more stable and recently he's even managed to run for the first time since his injury, an amazing step forward.

To help Frenchie and others like him get their lives back on track, text 'HERO' to 70900 (you will be charged £5 + your standard network rate. £5 goes directly to Help for Heroes. Telephone helpline 01494 750500).
