Take part in the iconic Kiltwalk and raise vital funds for Help for Heroes.

Have you ever wanted to discover the beauty of Scotland while fundraising for Help for Heroes? Well, now you can with the iconic, record-breaking Kiltwalk.

The Kiltwalk is an exciting and vibrant walk across three distances that allows you to not only push yourselves on your own personal challenge, but also to fundraise to support our wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, Veterans and their families.

You can choose from walks at either Dundee Sunday 18 August or the capital, Edinburgh Sunday 15 September. Whether it be the 22.6-mile Mighty Stride, the 15-mile Big Stroll or the Wee Wonder at 6-miles, every step and every penny made will make a difference.

The Kiltwalk is open to everyone, so throw on some tartan and take your family along to support Help for Heroes and be part of the Force for Good. Plus, with the support of The Hunter Foundation, every individual fundraising total raised for the Kiltwalk is increased by 40%!

By joining Team Help for Heroes you will receive:

  • A welcome pack from the Events team with a Fundraising guide
  • A free Help for Heroes tech t-shirt to wear with pride on the day
  • Support from our dedicated Events team from the moment you join us, through to the finish line and beyond

From paying your registration fee with Kiltwalk you will receive:

  • Event entry
  • Bag transport from the start line to the finish line
  • Walker pack with training guide
  • Meal vouchers
  • Pit stop snacks and refreshments
  • Finishers medal
  • Access to the Kiltwalk Village where you have the chance to enjoy a hot meal, massage, licensed bar and event entertainment

The team is on hand to answer all your questions from Monday to Friday, 9am —5pm. Whether you’re after event specifics, training tips or fundraising advice, we’d love to hear from you.

The Help for Heroes Events Team will work closely with you throughout your fundraising journey and share helpful tips and advice every step of the way. You will receive a comprehensive fundraising guide to help you get started, along with monthly fundraising ideas straight to your inbox!

It’s not just about sponsorship from friends – you can plan events throughout the build-up to your walk to help boost your fundraising total.

How do I register for this challenge?

The challenge is run by Kiltwalk and you will need to register directly with them for your place on your chosen walk. During the registration, you will be able to select to raise money for Help for Heroes. If you do, we will be able to see and get in touch with you to support you on your fundraising journey.

If you have already registered and have subsequently chosen to fundraise in aid of Help for Heroes, please click the ‘Register Your Fundraising’ button on the left to let us know. We’d love to welcome you to team Help for Heroes!

How does fundraising work?

All funds raised by Kilwalkers must go through the Kiltwalk using the Everyday Hero fundraising platform; by doing so The Hunter Foundation, who underwrite the fundraising platform, will donate an additional 40% to Help for Heroes, on top of your fundraising, up to the value of £5,000 per individual fundraiser (subject to Trustee approval).

In order for Help for Heroes to receive the additional 40% donation, Kiltwalk asks for all fundraising to be completed no later than 8 weeks after your walk.
