Race to the King is the stunning South Downs walk, jog or run, taking you from Arundel to the magnificent Winchester Cathedral.

Location: Gaston Farm, Arundel, BN18 0RS – Winchester Cathedral, Winchester, SO23 9LS
Distance: 52 miles
Registration: £39 (non stop) / £59 (weekender, inc. camping)
Minimum fundraising: £425

Along the stunning South Downs Way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Ancient Weald of Southern England and the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. 

This is a challenge for all, inclusive of all ages, experience and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, patient plodder or weekend walker – choose to camp over the weekend or take on the full distance in one go. You’ll be inspired with every step you take.

The Help for Heroes Events Team will work closely with you throughout your fundraising journey and share helpful tips and advice every step of the way. You will receive a comprehensive fundraising guide to help you get started, along with monthly fundraising ideas straight to your inbox!

It’s not just about sponsorship from friends – you can plan events throughout the build-up to your ride to help boost your fundraising total.

Where does my money go?
The suggested fundraising target for this challenge is £425, of which £212.50 must be received by Help for Heroes by Friday 10 May 2019 to cover the cost of your participation. Thereafter all fundraising will enable Help for Heroes to continue providing direct, practical support to our wounded Servicemen and women.

Ideally, we would like your fundraising to have reached £390 within six weeks of the challenge finishing. The Help for Heroes Events Team will be on hand to guide you every step of the way to help you reach and smash that target!

Once you register we will send you our comprehensive fundraising guide to help you get started and continue to support you throughout your challenge journey. From top tips to newsletters, we will do our best to help you become a fundraising champion!
