London to Brighton Ultra Challenge 2018 - Charity run details

Join thousands of others as you walk, jog or run 100km from the capital to coast. Starting in Richmond, you'll travel over the North Downs and on through the Surrey and Sussex countryside on a route that’s 60% off-road. Take in the great views and tackle the challenging climbs over the South Downs before heading on to the finish in Brighton.

Whether you're new to endurance events, a seasoned walker or a marathon runner looking to up the distance, you'll get the best support and hospitality all the way to the finish line. With the right training and determination, anyone can conquer London to Brighton so join us for a real challenge in 2018!

Applying and Fundraising for London to Brighton Ultra Challenge 2018 

There are two options for completing the London2Brighton Ultra Challenge. Either:

  1. Register directly with Action Challenge and choose your distance while selecting Help for Heroes.
  2. Or if you’ve already signed up and would like to fundraise in aid of Help for Heroes, click the ‘Register Your Fundraising’ button.

The team is on hand to answer all your questions from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Whether you’re after event specifics, training tips or fundraising advice, we’d love to hear from you.

How do I register to complete this challenge?

The challenge is run by Action Challenge and you should register directly with them. During registration, you can choose to fundraise for Help for Heroes. If you do, we will be told about you automatically and will be in touch. If you’ve already registered and have subsequently chosen to fundraise in aid of Help for Heroes, please click the ‘Use your own place’ button on the left to let us know. We’d love to welcome you to our team!

Where does my fundraising go?

Half of your fundraising target (dependent on the distance you choose) needs to be received by the Charity no later than eight weeks before the challenge. This covers the cost of your participation in the challenge.

Anything you fundraise over this amount is the money that Help for Heroes can use to provide lifelong support to our wounded, injured and sick Service Personnel, Veterans and their loved ones.

The Help for Heroes Events Team will work closely with you throughout your fundraising journey and share helpful tips and advice every step of the way. You will receive a comprehensive fundraising guide to help you get started, along with monthly fundraising ideas straight to your inbox!

It’s not just about sponsorship from friends and family. You can plan events throughout the build-up to your ride to help boost your fundraising total.
