Easter Walk Challenge - Charity Walk details:

Spend the Easter weekend exploring the beautiful Berkshire countryside as you set off from Windsor, along the River Thames. Set yourself (and the family) a goal this spring with a 25 mile or 25 kilometres challenge, and celebrate in style at the end with the fantastic fun day!

25km option:

  • Fully signed 25km route
  • Start / finish at Racecourse
  • Free Easter neck buff
  • Free parking at Racecourse
  • Coffee/tea/snacks at start
  • 30-11.30am start slots
  • Mid-point snacks/drinks
  • Medal/glass of fizz at finish
  • Hot food at finish
  • Easter entertainment
  • Shuttles to Windsor & Eton Central station
  • Supporters can also book food

 25 mile option:

  • Start / finish at Racecourse
  • Free Easter buff
  • Free parking at Racecourse
  • Coffee/tea/snacks at start
  • 30 - 10am starts
  • 15 miles section - then lunch (back at the racecourse)
  • Lunch - with baguette/drinks
  • 10 mile section after lunch
  • Mid-point & refuel stops en route
  • Medals/glass of fizz at finish
  • Hot food at finish
  • Easter entertainment
  • Shuttles to Windsor and Eton Central station
  • Supporters can also book food

How do I register to complete this challenge?

The challenge is run by Action Challenge and you should register directly with them. During registration you can choose to fundraise for Help for Heroes. If you do, we will be told about you automatically and will be in touch. If you’ve already registered and have subsequently chosen to fundraise in aid of Help for Heroes, please click the ‘Register your fundraising’ button on the left to let us know. We’d love to welcome you to our team!

Where does my fundraising go?

Half of your fundraising target (dependent on the distance you choose) needs to be received by the Charity no later than eight weeks before the challenge. This covers the cost of your participation in the challenge.
Anything you fundraise over this amount is the money that Help for Heroes can use to provide lifelong support to our wounded, injured and sick Service Personnel, Veterans and their loved ones.

The Help for Heroes Events Team will work closely with you throughout your fundraising journey and share helpful tips and advice every step of the way. You will receive a comprehensive fundraising guide to help you get started, along with monthly fundraising ideas straight to your inbox!

It’s not just about sponsorship from friends and family. You can plan events throughout the build-up to your ride to help boost your fundraising total.
