Since the Invictus Games launched in 2014, hundreds of wounded British military personnel and veterans have represented their country, county, city or club in sporting events at home and further afield.
Now it’s your turn to Join Team UK!
Following the success of Sydney 2018 and previous Games in Toronto, Florida and London, Help for Heroes, the Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion have designed a programme leading up to the next Invictus Games in The Hague in May 2020.
The programme will provide opportunities for individuals to engage with sport at all levels.
This celebration of sport will culminate in a Team UK national Games in Sheffield in July 2019, playing host to the Invictus Games 2020 Trials and a wider recovery experience.
The Join Team UK gateway is now open for 2019 and 2020. You must Join Team UK by 9th March 2019 to be considered for later stages.
This is what your journey with Team UK could look like should you choose to join us:
The programme will consist of:
To be considered for selection for Team UK for the 2019 event and the Invictus Games 2020, you will have become ill or injured during, or as a result of, your service. Team UK will complete necessary checks.

For Sydney 2018, nearly half of the 451 hopefuls who applied for trials were new to Team UK. We expect more first-timers applying for The Hague 2020 and many of you may have similar questions to ask of us.
Selection for Team UK is based mainly on recovery need. The selection policy for The Hague 2020 will be released in 2019.
