What is it?
We run a number of opportunities to learn new gardening skills and develop your existing knowledge to enable you to access gardening as part of your recovery. This can be in the form of a weekly Gardening Programme over a 10-12 week period, one to one sessions, or a City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture course run over 3 months.
Who is it for?
All beneficiaries: wounded, injured and sick service personnel and Veterans and their families.
The gardens at our Recovery Centres are fully adaptive, allowing you to participate, regardless of injury.
Why is it offered?
Contact with nature through gardening is beneficial to relaxation, boosting social interaction, improving self-esteem, and learning new skills.
