Appeal for a Hero

We recognise how important it is to families and friends who have been impacted by the tragic news that their loved one has been seriously injured or killed in action and that they want to show their support and do their bit to raise as much funding as possible to assist in their loved one’s recovery or leave a lasting tribute in their memory.

Setting up your own appeal could be the best and easiest way forward. It is much simpler than setting up your own charity and means that you don’t have to worry about any of the legal obligations, costs and time required to administer it.

We can set up an appeal in a name of your choice. All of the money donated will be put into a restricted income fund within Help for Heroes so that there is complete visibility of the total amount raised. We can be very flexible on how you wish this money to be used, for example, it could be used to provide direct, practical support to your loved one, used as a lasting memorial at one of the Personnel Recovery Centres like Tedworth House or help towards adaptive sports.

We can help to set up an appeal page within Bmycharity, share this on our Help for Heroes website and help you with social networking to raise awareness. We can also support you with artwork on your appeal media.
