International Day of Friendship 2016

International Day of Friendship 2016

Friendship is one of the most valuable things we can have. Whether it’s being able to talk to someone when times are tough or getting together to share unforgettable moments, having people you can call ‘friends’ is both a pillar of strength and one of life’s joys.

For every person involved with H4H, from fundraisers to volunteers and everything in-between, we consider them a true friend; one who is prepared to give so much to help support thousands of wounded Servicemen and women and Veterans.

On this International Day of Friendship, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all connected with H4H for showing your support and being with us as we work together to rebuild lives. Thank you for being our friend; we hope on this day you’re able to spend time with yours too.

International Day Of Friendship

Here are just some of our friends involved with H4H who are doing their bit for ‘the blokes’. Thanks guys!

“Hearing the amazing things people are doing to raise money is a great thing to be a part of and I feel proud doing what I’m doing. I’ve met some absolute stars and the atmosphere is brilliant. It’s such a good feeling.” Audrey Stuart, H4H volunteer

“We are extremely proud to have this connection with Help for Heroes. It gives us real pleasure being able to contribute to giving our Heroes a future.” Robert and Joy Graham, who have kindly pledged to leave H4H a gift in their Will.

“We met while undertaking our very first H4H trek. We became firm friends and have continued to trek together ever since. Through trekking with H4H we have built up a new family of people who, like us, just want to do something to support our guys and girls. That first trek really did change our lives and now we’re friends for life!” Karen Lewis and Sarah Johnson, H4H fundraisers

“Band of Brothers has played a big part in my recovery. I’ve met loads of lads from different regiments who have also gone through injury and medical discharge from the Army and it’s great that we can just meet up. I’ve found it hard to explain to my civilian mates back home what it was like in Afghanistan.” James Rowlands

“The Band of Sisters is superb. I’ve made lots of great friends through that support network. Being able to speak to others who are in a similar situation is so comforting. The BoS team and the other members are my rock.” Louise Lihou, Band of Sister

“H4H is an incredible place to work and a big part of that is the staff! I’ve made some incredible friends and it is a joy to come to a job every day with such amazing people.” Clare Dunn, H4H member of staff
