A mammoth 11-hour Tough Mudder challenge took place on Monday at Help for Heroes Recovery Centre Tedworth House.
Help for Heroes is the official charity partner of Tough Mudder and so far the amazing mudders have raised more than £1.5million for H4H by climbing through mud, diving into icy water and running through electric wires at Tough Mudder events.
Last year, the Tough Mudder team agreed that for every £10,000 raised at the London South event, they would run for one hour around the Trim Trail challenge at Tedworth. As £110,000 was raised, this equated to an 11-hour challenge.
The all-weather ‘Tough Trail’ is a 650 metre course featuring adapted exercise stations, which all help injured Servicemen and women to rebuild basic mobility and strength. More than 80 laps of the course were completed in the 11 hours.
Seven members of Tough Mudder HQ were supported by several H4H staff members for the challenge and were frequently cheered on and supported throughout the course of the day.
