Help for Heroes is delighted to announce that we have been chosen by London Welsh, along with Sobell House Hospice as its official Charity Partners for the 2014/15 Aviva Premiership season.
London Welsh CEO Mike Stevens said: “I am very pleased to be able to confirm Sobell House Hospice and Help for Heroes as London Welsh’s official Charity Partners for the 2014/15 season.
“From humble well intentioned beginnings in 2007, Help for Heroes has grown into a national and world-renowned charity which does a huge amount of outstanding work in helping thousands of serving and ex-serving military personnel.
“London Welsh is delighted and proud to be associated with such a respected and prestigious charity as Help for Heroes, and we look forward to working alongside them in the season ahead.
“We also have two serving members of the armed forces in our squad in Ricky Reeves of the Royal Engineers and the RAF’s Josh McNally, which makes the selection of Help for Heroes even more pertinent".
Hannah Bower, Donor Development Manager at Help for Heroes, said: “We’re thrilled to be chosen by London Welsh and are incredibly excited to be working with them and Sobell House. We know that their support will make a massive difference to the wounded, injured and sick that we support."
The 2014/15 Aviva Premiership season will see Sunday afternoons at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford become synonymous with London Welsh RFC, with the Club having committed to playing its home games at the Kassam Stadium for the next three years.
The Club continues to reinforce its relationship with the people, businesses and communities across Oxfordshire and has adopted the strap-line ‘Premiership Rugby in Oxford - Be part of it’.
