Last night Help for Heroes Recovery Centre, Phoenix House in Catterick hosted it's second annual Fashion Show and it was a phenomenal success!
An extravaganza of glitz and glamour - members of Band of Brothers and Sisters, Phoenix House Staff and Models took to the hairdryers and make-up brushes in preparation to strutt their stuff for an audience of over 150!
Those taking part were also joined by the wonderful Zoe Birkett of Pop Idol and West End fame. Zoe delighted the audience with wondeful performances of Duffy's 'Mercy' and Etta James' 'At Last' following the interval. Zoe, who is from Darlington said, "Tonight has been amazing. The work that Help for Heroes are doing is incredible so I'm delighted to be here to help raise more awareness in our local community that this facility is here".
Phoenix House works hard to provide the support that our wounded heroes deserve and the Fashion Show was a display of the phenomenal progress that so many make during their time at the Recovery Centre. Many members of the Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters who had been incredibly nervous beforehand, came out of the spotlight with huge smiles on their faces, ready to do it all again!
The Show was a sell-out that featured clothing from Leggs Fashion in Darlington and Help for Heroes merchandise as well as some incredible hair and make-up styles by Saks and Browns Beauty from Sedbury Stables. Thanks also to the many other sponsors and volunteers who made this incredible night possible!
