Debenhams gives Help for Heroes free space to sell H4H merchandise!

  • Help for Heroes launches first ever charity retail concession inside a High Street store

  • Plans revealed to open more in-store concessions nationwide within a month

Saturday 10 May 2014: Help for Heroes (H4H) has today opened the very first charity retail concession inside a department store.

The concession is located on the 1st floor at Debenhams on Queensway in Southampton city centre. Building on the success of the stand-alone stores H4H has already opened in various shopping centres around the UK since 2012, today’s new venture to bring charity retail into high street stores shows the commitment by our big retailers to show their support for our injured, wounded and sick Servicemen, women and veterans.H4H_concession _opening _3

Following the success of the inaugural Debenhams National Collection weekend and fundraising in store through-out March this year which saw over £200,000 raised for the Charity, Debenhams has invited H4H to set up the first ever charity sales concession at the Southampton branch completely free of charge. More will follow in other major Debenhams stores nationwide in the coming months.

Going against the usual trend for charity shops, H4H sells new, branded merchandise, rather than donated or second-hand goods like most UK charities. Consumers are able to buy an expanding range of H4H branded high quality products such leisurewear, sports clothing and household items, with the profits going to a UK charity rather than global corporations.

These profits are used to help H4H to continue to deliver support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses whilst serving our country. Part of this support is provided through the H4H run Recovery Centres in Tidworth, Wiltshire as well as Colchester, Catterick and Plymouth.
