This tasty and healthy smoothie uses simple ingredients however it is packed with vitamins and nutrients to start your year off the right way! Although kiwi, spinach and kale aren't natural partners, they are full of all the goodness your body is craving on these long cold days and the natural sweetness of the apple juice balances the smoothie flavour to leave your tastebuds tingling!
In the dark depths of winter when there are so many colds and bugs going around it can be hard to motivate yourself to get out on the bike and start training for Hero Ride. But by drinking this smoothie you are at least giving your body the right ingredients to maintain a healthy immune system - and if you are free from the snuffles then you can't use man (or woman) flu as an excuse to miss a training session!
Makes 2 large smoothies
250ml cloudy apple juice
3 kiwi fruits, skin on
1 Granny Smith apple, cored & skin on
20 green seedless grapes
Handful of fresh spinach
Handful of fresh kale

Simply place all ingredients in a food processor or smoothie maker and blend until smooth, serve immediately and feel truly self righteous!
