Help for Heroes holds a topping out ceremony to commemorate the final beam being placed at Endeavour Centre, Plymouth

Tuesday saw another milestone on the long road to recovery with a Topping Out ceremony to mark the progression of the new £10.2m Help for Heroes Endeavour Centre.

The new Endeavour Centre will house specialist recovery rehabilitation facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool with a moveable floor, a 25 metre sprung floor gymnasium with a fully adaptive Cardio Vascular space, a physiotherapy suite with purpose designed clinical treatment rooms and a 13 metre square hydrotherapy pool which will complete the build. The facility will also include a revolutionary Interactive Support Hub which will give Servicemen, women and veterans access to specialist Service charities and agencies in a single location, ensuring that they are easily able to access the support they need in order to continue with their rehabilitation.

Bryn Parry, CEO & co-founder of Help for Heroes said: "The Endeavour Centre and Parker VC will provide those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses as a result of their service with the very best support they need, for life. The facilities are being made possible thanks to the generous efforts of our wonderful supporters. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone, from our fundraisers to the builders and architects who are working tirelessly to make this possible and we look forward to opening all the facilities later this year."
