Rugby vs Football...

15 August 2013

Recently in the scorching heat of the desert,  a group of ex-pats who are mostly ex-Servicemen working for a defence company in the Middle East organised an event where the football team (The Typhoons) and rugby team (The Tigers) played each other at their own game to raise money for Help for Heroes!

The tournament began with the rugby team taking on the football team at football and, as expected, The Typhoons came out on top with a score of 3 goals to 1.  After a well-earned water break, the teams ventured out onto the field once again to play the second half of the competition where the Typhoons challenged the Tigers to a game of tag rugby.  The Tigers won, with a final score of 6 tries to 3!  This fantastic example of a brilliant fundraising idea enabled all involved to raise a wonderful total of £510 for H4H!
