Following their record breaking event at one of England’s foremost music festivals in late July, Camden Town based fancy dress specialists Escapade handed over a sum of over £1,000 to Help for Heroes.
Successfully bringing together no less than 867 people in one place at Kendal Calling Festival, in the North West’s picturesque Lake District, on July 27th the capital’s party experts smashed the previous record (566) for ‘The Largest Gathering Of People Dressed As Superman’, providing free Superman costumes for those attending and collecting funds for charity (further details, photos & footage can be found via www.escapade.co.uk/supermanrecord).
Escapade’s COO Hardeep Rai commented: “This has been a great opportunity to express our support for Britain’s true heroes, our servicemen & women, and to further our relationship with such a worthy charity. We already have big plans in the pipeline for our next world record attempt and, with any luck, we’ll beat our own personal best again in 2014.”
Our very own James Burns (London & South East Regional Coordinator) was present to accept the cheque in the company's vibrant shop premisis! A huge well done to all involved on achieving this world record and fantastic fundraising total.
