Help for Heroes are delighted to announce a partnership with LBC 97.3 who have chosen Help for Heroes as their charity appeal for this year. On 27 - 31 May LBC 97.3 will be hearing inspirational stories from wounded heroes and their families but will also feature the chance for listeners to bid on a range of fantastic auction prizes to help raise vital funds. The week coincides with Help for Heroes Hero Ride which will see cyclists from all over the country, and abroad, come together in the biggest national demonstration of support for our wounded heroes and raise £1m to help provide support for life.
Bryn Parry OBE, CEO and Co-Founder Help for Heroes, said:
‘H4H is all about ‘doing your bit’ and LBC’s pledge to support us this year is fantastic. We have no doubt that they will help spread our message, in particular encouraging people to sign up to take part in Hero Ride, and raise vital funds. The money raised is greatly needed to enable us to provide long term support for those who have suffered life-changing injuries. The war in Afghanistan may be coming to an end but for those whose lives have changed as a result of their service to this country, the battle is only just beginning. On behalf of everyone at Help for Heroes and all those who the money will benefit, thank you and good luck with the appeal.’
