Help for Heroes' Friends visit Phoenix House

Tuesday 31 May 2016

On 13th May we hosted a special Friends event for our Regular Donors and those who have included a gift to Help for Heroes in their will. Our Friends were given an exclusive tour of the Recovery Centre, meeting recovery staff and seeing and hearing first hand how their continued support changes lives every day

Catterick

The group heard about the 360 degree support beneficiaries receive from sport and physical wellbeing to art and gardening. They learned about our Career Recovery programme, helping our beneficiaries find the right path for them and enabling them to fulfil their potential.

We were very grateful to have Glenn Prosho, a Band of Brother, join us in his new role as a Help for Heroes Ambassador. Glenn told his own personal story of injury and recovery. His raw emotion and warm approach allowed the group to see just how their support changes the lives of not only our wounded, injured and sick, but their families too.

Catterick

We hold these special events at all four Help for Heroes Recovery Centres throughout the year in Tidworth. Colchester, Plymouth and Catterick. To find out more about becoming a Friend and our wonderful events please contact Friends@helpforheroes.org.uk or call 01725 514163.

We would love to see you there!
