Andrew Eccles, landlord of The Dungeon Inn, says " We at The Dungeon Inn have a huge amount of respect for our wounded servicemen and women - their strength, bravery and sheer determination is astounding, and we feel that we should do our part as a community to collect what we can to help with their ongoing treatment. For too long, vital treatment and care for these guys had just been ignored, Help for Heroes has made such a huge impact on so many damaged lives, and we are proud to get behind them every year. My own career in the army was cut short over 25 years ago, almost before it even started, due to a serious spinal cord injury, and i have first hand experience of the lack of any form of support shown to the injured and wounded".
